Rj Joseph, founder, and owner of Moccasin Path Productions LLC, specializes in Contemporary Native American Storytelling. He is of Metis Cree ancestry, Rj’s childhood west of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, was steeped in the wisdom of generations, inspiring him to become a storyteller and preservationist. 

In the early ’90s, Rj embarked on a career in the entertainment industry, acting and stunt performing in notable films like ThunderHeart, Silent Tongue, Iron Will, and Desperado. Working alongside film greats such as Michael Apted, Sam Shepard, and Charlie Haid, he discovered a passion for writing and directing. 

Today, Rj seamlessly combines his film industry experience with his dedication to Native American history in documentaries like Peyote Man, showcasing Elder Anthony Davis’s traditional peyote fan making skills. Six of his documentaries have aired on the FNX network and PBS affiliate stations

Currently, in pre-production, his upcoming documentary ‘Buddha Will Protect You’ is set for release in 2024. 

Beyond his professional pursuits, Rj finds joy in spending time with family and friends, indulging in documentaries, and exploring open roads on his motorcycle.
